Diesel Island Live

Join your friends on Black Wednesday, the night before Thanksgiving, at The Royale Food and Spirits, at 3132 S Kingshighway, STL, MO 63139! Celebrate the start of the holiday Season with LIVE music from Diesel Island and help support our local chapter of Toys for Tots and The Carondelet Community Betterment Federation Food Pantry, located right here in South City.

Iron Barley, at Bates and Virginia, began a tradition of Diesel Island playing with admission being new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots and canned goods/food items for the Food Pantry almost as far back as when the restaurant first opened. Tom and Gen Coghill supported many causes over the years, but the combination of honky-tonk music, food and helping kids and families made Black Wednesday one of Tom’s favorites!

This year, we are working together to keep Tom and Gen’s Iron Barley tradition rolling! Diesel Island will be playing from 6-8pm in The Royale courtyard. The line up for this show will feature Jesse Irwin, Richard Tralles, Mark Ortmann and special guest Gary Hunt (Son Volt, Colonel Ford) on lead guitar. C’mon in early to grab a beer (we do have Guinness on draft, btw) or cocktail and get your spot for the show! A special and limited food menu of snacks and soups will be available that day…more details coming soon.

PRICE OF ADMISSION: NEW and UNWRAPPED Toys to be donated to Toys for Toys OR food items/canned goods for The Carondelet Community Betterment Federation Food Pantry. There is a list of food items posted in the discussion portion of the Facebook Event Page with goods that are specifically needed at the pantry. We will deliver all items to the organizations and donate them in Tom Coghill’s name.

Let's come together and raise a toast to Tom. Let's raise some resources for our community. And let's raise a little hell while Diesel Island plays both kinds of music...Country and Western. Let's have some fun and get in the spirit of the season!
